Where can I get a custom compressor housing done?

Vulcan big line kit on backorder

Just noticed that FASS is offering a pusher pump without the canister filter and air seperator obviously for a cheaper price, but the installation instructions have you drilling a 15/16" hole in you fuel tank! :--)

Just wondering if anyone wants to drop there 2 cents on which is better, easier, etc. I'm going to have to do something different (tired of replacing lp's).

That is news to me. I have been running the 95 gph version of the fass pusher for over a year and a half with no problems. Never HAD to drill my tank, but I did when I gutted my fuel module to make way for 1/2" lines. But this wasn't required for installation. Maybe the 150 gph pump requires tank mods?

I must have beein reading something esle. When I went back and looked at the installation instructions they were all the same. Just drop the tank to hook up fuel line. I don't mind that.

Anyway, What's the rule of thumb for choosing 95 gph vs. 150? Also, why pay $200+ more for the one with the spin on filter. Isn't just the pump in use with existing filter good enough?

You can get better filters in the spin on style and if you're pushing a lot of fuel the stock filter can become a restriction.

I'm running a the value FASS 95. 19PSI at idle, 14-15 WOT. This is at the VP-44 after the filter. My last stock pump was 17 idle and 4 WOT.

If you go with pump only, you'll be stuck with the stock fuel filter/canister. Good: Water in fuel sensor and heater. Bad: only have 10 micro filter. With the complete FASS, you can get to 3 microns and longer filter life. There is increase evidence (especially with CR systems) filtering down to <3 microns is very important. Plus it's easier to change the filter. The water separator can hold a lot of water too, even though I've neverhad a drop water in any fuel system I've ever had. I think you do have to drill the tank on the '05 and up truck b/o the pump being in the tank, but not on the older, engine mounted pumps.

Tinman, is the <3 micron nominal or absolute ?

I've kept up on filter ratings for the fass from other threads, but who is making a 3 absolute if anybody?
