Vagabond - excellent. I hope I get a similar increase in economy. I could definitely live with those numbers - real similar to my old rig.

With just under 4K on the truck. I'm at about 18mpg 90% highway, 10% city if I keep my foot out of it and hold my speed to 70mph on the highway. No misses, hesitation, wobble, vibration or drone.

This is my best CTD yet. With my other trucks, mileage was great right out of the gate. This one is getting better slowly. Overall, mileage is decent, fit and finish are first rate, and performance is outstanding.

I think DC is looking at these posts with the bad mileage reports and working on a solution. Maybe I am just lucky, but if I was only getting 11-13mpg, I would be lookin for answers. Gasser mileage in a CTD isn't gonna cut it.

Keep in mind, these 600s have only been on the road for 60 days. It's hard to imagine that DC is not working on the problem.

Vagabond-Do you have a 4x4, or 4x2? What gears are you running?

This 600 seams similar to the Mercedes engines in the otr trucks. I talked with some on my last trip, and they said they hated them at first because it had no power, mileage was poor. Once they've put some miles on the trucks, it started improving in performance and mpg.

I have the 600 4x4 with 4/10 gear ratio. I also have the tow package but pull a 37 foot goose neck two car hauler. I hope this helps
