Just to update you all,he had the turbo replaced and they also had to replace the freeze plugs in the head,I guess something was wrong with them, but anyways he said it is much faster and a definate power increase,I will drive it in the next few days and let you know more. .

Time will tell if the Aluminum Heads on the Dmax are going to be a concern. My thinking they will not be able to last like the proven Cummins has been able to! Besides the rest of the truck looks cheap and very unimpressive to me. As many have mentioned in here. The GM's have to watch the EGT's more than we do. Get that Dmax engine overheated one time and there goes the heads! I pull a long grade pulling my 11,000lbs trailer and I am barely getting above 1000 degrees. And that is at 90+ outside temp.

I posted this before. While having a conversaion with a Banks salesmen on the phone he said a lot of D/maxes are hitting 1700 DEGREES briefly on the strip with NO ill effects!:--)

That is kind of funny, my new 600 sees at least as much heat in the EGT's as my Dmax did that I just sold. Never had any problems with the heads either. Only problem I was having was blowing through the clutch:D

The aluminum heads can probably take more heat for short periods of time. They act as a heat sink. Of course with sustained high temps there is nowhere for the heads to bleed the heat to. In all fairness, the aluminum heads haven't been the big problem many people thought they would (including me). A close friend is the service manager at the local GM dealership and he tells me they have replaced two DM heads so far, but that falls far short of what I expected. As far as durability and longevity goes, of course the Cummins is in a different league altogether.
