600 Poor Mileage

If I leave my overhead alone for about 400 miles it will display around 13. 6.



On my last fillup the manual math yielded 14. 4. This is with 3800 miles so far.

i did a 2 week test on mine... Hand calculations show



Average is 19 mpg...



Id say about 70% go go go stop



30% crusing



In the winter mine was horrible but this weather has helped out big time... Only change ive made has been a Scotty Ram Air III... . I dont think i got 6+ mpg from a filter set-up

Just home from a 550+ mile trip, at steady 60 to 75 mph over most of the trip I got 18. 3 (hand) O. H. said ave. was 15. 4.



I don't put much faith in the over-head it said I had 467 miles to empty when I filled up, it said that for 73 miles before it started to drop.



Empty and only about 15 miles in town and I keep my foot out of it except to show a friend the power and for a couple of fun passes.



ODO now says 2435 and I am not unhappy, in town I am getting 14. 5 to 15



FWIW IT is a bit better then new and the shifts are glass smooth now.

i'm new to the forums. I was starting to get nervous about all the poor fuel economy I was hearing about. I just ordered a 2004 3500 325/600 6 speed to replace my 2001 gas, gas hog but these later post are starting to make me feel better.

I've seen as high as 22. 9 mpg by hand, O. H. was 20. 9. This was 531. 9 miles and 23. 16gal.



Just drove to NM with my 7x18 enclosed trailer running 70-75mph on the way back got 14. 7mpg by hand, O. H. was 13. 7.



My mileage has steadily improved. Broke it in hard and not had any problems except for the price of fuel. $2. 20/gal, what BS.
