You are all right-it's no big deal-no oil in cc, etc. Even "mighty" Lexus, had a early recall with one of their recent products-seems like the 3rd brake light lens was melting... and I'm not very good at detecting sarcasm...

Price of poker just went up!

Checked with Detroit yesterday about a dealer order truck (went thru his orders and picked one about 9 days ago), truck was supposed to have been delivered the 21st. Call Detroit and they stated the order had been can-celled (whoa nelly). Call the salesman I'm working with and told him I was enroute. Both of us went to the guy who submits new orders and he jumps on the phone and computer, truck is to be shipped from Mexico Feb 4th. He gave me a read-out on the truck (invoice & MSRP) priority code, ect, ect. Later, I was comparing it with the old read-out I have when I signed the contract. Invoice and MSRP had increased (on the truck I ordered) $156. The basic truck had went up $81, towing mirrows $18, shipping $55. From my figures, I'm still off $2. For those of you whom are concerned if you got the 600 motor, your dealer can look at his paper work (same as I did, if he is a good dealer) and can tell you at least the MSRP of your motor. If it is $5360, it is a 600. NADA, Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds has not updated their invoices and MSRP,s for the increases the last I looked. Sorry to be long winded.

600 Hold--NOT!

I just got off the phone with DC. The nice young lady told me my truck was still in JS. I pressed a little for information on the hold. She went off to check and returned with what sounds like good news. She said they were on hold but no longer and they were starting to ship this weekendOo.

I don't know where in the mix mine is but she said there were a 'couple of thousand' there. I would say XTFM rail is going to have a few full loads heading toward TX very soon.

I figure there may have been a week delay on my truck so over all, if that is true, not bad.

George:)

Was on the phone with the dealer today about the hold. Still no word on when my truck will get to the dealer. Its been sitting about 2-3 hours from the dealer all week. The dealer tried its best to find somthing out, even called their rep but seems that no one knows anything. Very frustrating!

I got a call from the dealer today and they said they expect the truck to be released by the end of next week. Not much detail as to what the fix is. They did say that the vehicles with simple fixes like this are taken care of right at the RR yard before it is even delivered to the dealer. I guess there is an independent company who contracts to all the auto manufactures that have a shop right at the RR yard. It also seems that until the dealer take delivery of the vehicle, it is property of the factory, and totally under their control.

As a side note: My truck was built in Mexico, and I live about 60 mies from the Mexican border, but my truck will travel about 3000 miles in 8 states to get here. Of course, part of that is because I live in Tucson and bought the truck in Denver.

I ordered my truck on November 8th, I think it is in Illinois but not sure. I wish UPS delivered these trucks then we could know where they are every minute!!!! That is the way it was with a five dollar lanyard I ordered for my GPS, but not with my truck! Maybe it would be very helpful for us overly anxious people who have new BIG toys on order for D/C to have a place on their website to track our orders. I have had a terrible time finding anything out. OK, OK, I will quit b******g!!!!!!!! hehe

I ordered ours on Dec. 29 to replace a saltwater damaged one. It was shipped from the factory on Wednesday the 21st. I don't think there is a hold on now. How the wait for the long boat ride.

I worked in the auto industry for 35k an saw many launches that were a chinese fire drill that defies description. see plant mgrs. in the middle of the night that were absolutely panic stricken. one model chg in the 60,s someone for got to job out the valance that fits under the front bumper. they came to assemble the body in these big welding fixtures an no valance they had to have a bunch made up in a prototype shop for big $$$$$$ and then a crash an burn program to build the dies more big $$$$$$ the muffler clamp is easy. Enjoy your new truck

It is so weird. I ordered mine 1/03 and it was built 1/09 (A FRIDAY!!!) and it is on rail in TX right now. Problem is I thought I would have plenty of time to sell my totally perfect but noisy 02. I don't care if mine is delayed! And it is the one that gets built in lightening speed. Weird weird weird. geusterman
