Has any one switched the 60gal Aerotank to the 2001 Ram?

Aerotank states the 97 fill tube is 1 3/4 and the 2001 is 1 1/2 and will need a fitting and a rollover valve. If this is true I will order the part and be ready when the new toy arrives.

Thanks in advance

I had them build a tank for my 97 and I was very disapointed with the quality. It didn't leak but it looked like I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER. I am going to build my own aux. tank that will go in place of the exaust. I am running the exaust on the outside of the frame.

I had the 60 gal tank on my 96 and hope to pick it up from the dealer soon (they're removing it for me).

Before I put it on my 2001, I need to install my US Gear Overdrive so I can then see if the tank will fit. If not, I'm going to have a local fabricator modify the tank so that it will fit.

I agree... the tank looks like crap. What's worse is I also ordered their underseat storeage tray and it's an absolute JOKE. I refused to use it and called to return it. They promised to send a pickup label for it, but instead I got a message on my machine two days later from somebody else there offering suggestions on how to make it fit. I already told them I wasn't going to use it. Now to call them again and ***** some more.

I'm totally NOT impressed with Aerotanks.

I agree!

Not enough competion in the market of replacement tanks. If there was you would see options for under the truck aux tanks to feed as one into the fuel system and use only one sender.

I do not understand why I would need a rollover valve on the 2001 when it wasn"t on the 97??? They say the valve vents the tank.
Does this mean the 97 tank is not vented and the 2001 must be? Is this vendor jargon to cause you to spend $69 plus freight for something you might not need. I can understand the 1 13/4 to 1 1/2 fill tube reduction but not the VALVE. Anything on this would help get confusion on the run. Thanks.
