Was on my way to Corpus Christi,Tx. today when another hotshot driver that works for a different company than I do passed me in a second gen truck. He had an interesting sticker on the back of his truck. It said, 650,000 miles, Powerstroke that! I called him on the radio and told him that was an interesting sticker. He said yeah, he didn't think there were to many powerstrokes running with that many miles on them. He said the truck actually had 669k on it now. I don't know where he got the sticker, but it was a good big one. The last time I had talked to him, he had said that he hadn't had any trouble with the truck except he had put a transmission in it. (It's an auto) I believe the truck is completely stock. Thought you 2nd gen. guys would get a kick out of this. I had a 2nd gen until lasts Feb. with 419k on it when I sold it. My 3rd gen is now getting close to 95k. I still look in on this board every now and then but I usually post on the 3rd gen board now.

I think I remember reading a post about a Powerstroke with close to that many miles but it did have rebuilt heads so it doesn't really count. :)

Sounds like you crossed paths with Mike Jonckers- black flatbed, leased to Acme. He's good people. I believe he's shooting for 1 million miles. He DID have to replace an injector a little while back- he wasn't too happy about that. :D

That's who he was, I couldn't remember his name. I've talked to him several times at different places. I meant to ask him where he got that sticker. I know of four hotshot drivers, counting him, around here with 600k+ on their trucks. Needless to say they are all Dodge. I don't believe any of them have had any major engine problems.

James put a DTT in my 95, unless he got it within the past 6 months, Mike's truck is still running a stock auto transmission.

here's a place where you can make your own custom stickers.

I made one for the rear of my toybox trailer saying "warning!, please stay back, toys may leave at any time"

And..... "Never underestimate the power of a cummins"
