This past week I installed Glacier Diesels fuel filter/water seperator so I could bypass the stock filter housing and I bumped the fuel pressure up to 42. On all the runs it only dropped to 40psi  I was very impressed. I mounted the twin filters in the bed of the truck, on the left of the stacks. The pump is on the side of the frame, it pumps the fuel into the bed, thru the filters, then back down to the frame on to the cp3. Tons of fuel line and the little walbro still shines :D

Lucas

Thats SICK! That little pump has just absolutely amazed me... You your truck proves it more!

I really need to get a dyno run in now that I have 30psi feeding my stage one

Ya that little pump is AWESOME.

Thank god Luke was there; several 3rd gens (self included) with significant work done making squat power and Luke with only mild and comps makes 659... atleast proving the trucks can do it! Thank god!

The dyno was working right... all of us low numbers guys to prove it.

Best time/money spent in a long time was getting on John's dyno and talking to him about how to make these third gens run. Should have done it several thousand dollars ago.

Grats again on an intelligent build and great numbers Luke!

Thanks Big Mak!, It was awesome meeting all you guys. Hopefully we can do it again soon!!!!

Mark,

What did you put down?

Only 495/1020. I was approx 505/1100 before doing all this work! But was also running twins for 505/1100 so some loss expected but all the other improvements should have more then compensated but with some heat gain...

I was also competing at about 380 using the wrong settings on my TST.

This truck is one mean hooking puller being even mediocre at that low power.

Suspecting bad injectors at this point. Some testing and injector swapping this week I hope!

One thing for sure is I'll be back on a dyno asap. I can't afford all this part swapping.

Luke was the only 3rd gen to crack 500 (and did he!). All the medium modded 3rd gens were in the 400s.

I talked with him a while, he said that he has been chasing the problem for a while. He thought maybe something with the fuel rail pressure?

Wish we could have stayed longer to watch more.

How are you turning the torque management on and off? What level were you running the tst on? My truck just falls on its face after 2x2 on the tst. I'm wandering if its just my stock supply pump or if my tst is malfunctioning. Awesome # though. I thought of switching from the ez to the MP-8, but yours was turned off? Not sure my ez does anythng either. I can switch the power levels on the toggle at lower rpms and feel a very slight "bump" as I switch, but nothing at a higher rpm.

I am running the newer twin program. Hits very smooth Happy with the tst but will be happier when i know the best settings looking for starting points so when i can get on the dyno next month i wont be wasting money and still know nothing. I will be nice when i figure out where i am at and able to move on to the next step. :-laf

Ashley, Luken is apparently running the new bullydog program that can disable the torque management

Like lmills said, I have the bullydog program where I can turn the tq management off. With it on it had 656 hp but the tq # wasn't as high. The mp-8 was off.

Tst on 7x5.

The tires have less tread on them now... I was at Sonic and some guys said "we've seen that truck around town and that thing is crazy. Are those things in the back real?" I said ya, Ill show ya some smoke when I leave. I look both ways, see nothing so I pull out get it straight and get on it... the backend slides to the left so I steer it and then it comes back to the right... I look in the mirror and out of NOWHERE there are 2 cops coming on strong. I look down and I am going 50 in a 35 LOL... . Black and white smoke EVERYWHERE.

So they pull me over. When they are walking to their cars, they turn around and look in the bed at the stacks and one guy says "that is one bad truck". Then the guy came back and gave me a careless driving. I told him it was pretty stupid and he said he has been there and sometimes you get caught. I did get a cop to say it looked cool so I guess it was worth it

Its a good thing I got a check today :D The lawyers are getting expensive...

truck must not be fast enough yet if they caught you. LOL :-laf

That's where I made the mistake... I should've just put the hammer down :D :D

I'm such an idiot sometimes. I guess it will be a good story to tell my kids someday :D
