Learn to drive it?

I've been doing all that for years starting with a Torqueflite 727! What you are saying is what I have found in 33K of driving the 06, T/H is useless! My DTT shifts better AUTOMATICALLY without a controller than the 06. There isn't any trick to manually shifting an automatic. The first time I did that it was in a 63 Dodge with push buttons! This is the 21st century right?
I am saying the transmission doesn't do the same thing all the time. Today I was rolling into a rest stop in T/H mode braking normally and the *** down shifted at 55mph to drive. I tried the very same thing last week three times on the same ramp and it didn't shift down until 45mph just like it does all the time without braking.
The book says it is supposed to down shift in T/H mode when you are applying the brakes. It does this about 1% of the time above 45 mph in my experience and only when I am not expecting it.
The other thing is the transmission allowing the engine to lug at 1100rpm in T/H mode. I had the same problem towing with a 68rfe over the weekend. As I asked then, how hard is it to program a truck to down shift before lugging the engine in T/H mode in 2006 or 2007? I understand the transmission after market has figured it out. Why hasn't Dodge?
I won't ever "love" the 06 48re until whatever it is designed to do it does consistently!
