Last year I put a EFI "tow tune" from Anarchy on my truck due to the soot from emissions taking out a second turbo. It seems that every 40k miles the truck wanted a new turbo.
I am now thinking about their transmission tuning for the 68 RFE in my 2009 2500 truck.
Is this a worth while expense?
I am curious about the shifting characteristics of the transmission tune and if it will be abrupt or shift smoothly. I do run the exhaust brake 98% of the time. A little less premature upshifting would be good.
Also does this put undue stress on the valve body or shorten the life of the valve body or any other component?
Are TCU's specific to a trucks VIN or can a salvage yard TCU be used?
