It could be fairly easily converted to run on Propane. The componets are similar as I have done gas to natural gas, gas to propane, dual fuel (gas/propane selectable) and propane to natural gas, natural gas to propane conversions for years on forklifts. It may could even be converted back to diesel, but would be pretty involved to do so as compression is lowered (by dished out pistons) for the various gasses. We have a boom lift with a gasoline/propane dual fuel system with a Kubota engine. It is the converted diesel, just like the Cummins is. Has a distributer where the "power screw" would be and a cover plate where the injection pump top cover goes and of course spark plugs in the injector holes.
