Nice! A 440 in runner? Right now the 65 has a 383 is snagged from a 69 runner, I just freshened it up and ran it. I was the 1st to open it up, and it looked good in there considering age and miles:).

Yeah its a 69 440... . original post car with all hemi options except the hemi... so 383 originally cuz they were the only options in 68... .
 
I also have an original 68 3/4 ton 4x4 big block 4spd truck that my grandpa left me when he died, gotta do sumthin with that too!!!
 
A factory Big Block 4 spd?!? Sweet. Sounds like you've got some pretty sweet projects ahead of you. I still have the 65 long bed I drove in high school. I need to finnish getting it converted to 1/2 ton, then it's getting a big block. I want to keep it looking period correct, rather than doing all the mods like I did on my short box. The short box has had so many things changed on it, I don't mind dumpin a cummins in there. Especially since the motor bolts right upOo. If you get yours in first shoot me some pics... I have a house to finish before I can get real serious. Here's a few pics of the little short box.

Nice. . ! same color as both of mine! LOL! :-laf My 65 is a stepside and the 68 is longbed fleetside 4x4... Do you know if they made any stepsides without the spare tire indentation?
