That might be kinda hard to dyno, I like it though. Oo.

maybe not... last year i went to toromont CAT dealer/service repair for a tour. they have a big dyno stall for testing their semi's engines. it was a 3 roller dyno. one of those places should be able to dyno the tandom rear axle [if their dyno computer can read the rpm from the vehicle pcm... ]

Better traction then a dually, narrower vehicle, better tracking in wet snow and it just plain looks cool!

Better ride(with a walkingbeam)

More load capacity

More traction than any Dually...

rough terrain hauling capacity mostly

Has anyone seen the European Military rigs?

Most have a 6X6 vehicle somewhere...

Our military has not been stupid for the last 75 years

Dodge even made a 6X6 1 ton for the military. .

Anyone have pictures?

6 X6

Yeah but I do not tow howitzers in Kosovo- the market would be so limited it would never get past the bean counters- setting up a line for the few that would get sold would be prohibitive- sounds like the conversion market is the best bet and I would hate to see the cost. Earth Roamer doesn't need six wheels to get everywhere and I do not need them to get through the deepest beach sand in this country or to tow almost anything 99% of us would want to tow. Sounds like a nice concept vehicle for auto shows

Re: 6 X6

THis is a concept that most people do not understand...

Unfortunately I only have 3 people who can say they would never go back to 4X4... and they Arent members here... I only can say Time will tell ... your not the first naysayer and certainly not the last... cost Is Alot cheaper than you think:)

BECAUSE YOU CAN!!! :D :D

Daniel - I dig the 6x6. I have two buddys with old Military 6x6's that are used for hunting. The 6x6 with proper mud tires can go many places that no one else would dare to go.

Keep up the good work, dig the jeep too.

Question for you man... ... can you lock the center diff (interaxle diff, power divider, insert whatever terminology here you would like :) ) like a highway truck? Assuming you can lock the main diffs themselves as well?

I would love to have a setup like this... ... but in reality I probably will never get there. :( 6x6 would be unstoppable in my line of work..... plus it would look really cool too! I can see it now-just like that Bayer conversion Crew/Quad Cab truck... ... 40 feet long and ready to go anywhere!

as areference to the lenth of a 6X6 we can put it in the lenth of a regular long bed and actually the turning center for the rear is closer to the front of the Dodge 6X6 than the previous dodge 4X4

About lockers We can put a detroit, air ARB, spool, or even the new electrac from DAna and still have a through pinion drive

About the other question

CAn you unlock the 2nd or 3rd set of axles?

On a Semi truck they do that to save power ... and they have 80,000 pounds on the rear axles... you are not going to have that traction luxury:)

THe reason we do not disconnect axle 2 or 3 is because we did that and with an empty truck half the weight of a pickup bed tends to spin the tires ALOT... so both are locked in at all times

See the pic of the exact 5/8 scale MAck replica suspension works great on the street:)
