Carl - where are you?????

Guys, I think many of us are in the same boat here on mirrors. We need better visibility, we want in-cab control, and we don't want to spend a fortune. I tried the slip-ons for $60. They looked great but lasted only a short while (the ball sockets failed).

wwcd2 (Carl) has put together some great group purchases. Maybe he'll get on this one, too, if we're patient. #ad

As soon as the info is available, hope someone can post under this thread. I'd sure like to see a picture of them. I could could do without the heated feature but not the electric adjustment.

Here's another opportunity for a Group Purchase.

I have a set of Power Vision mirrors on my '97. They power in and out, and use the factory power adjust knob. Got mine at May Maddness from a vender there for $325. Fairly easy to installand and work great. I have seen them in Camping World catalog for $365. Also hear tht they will have a heated version out soon

I'll call Bob V & raise him on another point. I've got those on mine & I really like the ability to extend them. In addition, I wouldn't go back to non-electric extended mirrors for backing your RV. You can point them down to check clearance to the RV's tires & then point them up to ck clearance to tree branches. Big #ad

I'll call your raise and bump you back with one more switch to play while going down the road #ad

I could sure use a set. That would make two BOM'd items on the truck then, the nerfs and mirrors. As far as I'm concerned the elec. mirrors (for us trailering types) sure need to be BOM'd. I also like the heated feature but its the inside elect. controller that's manditory. Some places, like Yellowstone require you to remove your towing mirrors or reduce there size when you don't have the towed vehicle on (power in and out?? also nice but not manditory). Some are just to pricey, 350+ each, I don't think so. I can just see me checking with the war department for $700+ for mirrors. Now 250 to 300 a set is a different story.

I talked to Powervision at the Timberline Dodge/TDR rally in July. I was told they would be offering a heated version of their mirrors (with a slight design change to the mirror head... slightly softer looking corners/edges). In addition, they will be offering a heated retrofit kit for the standard Powervision mirrors. I believe the revised design will be out prior to the end of the year. I'm not sure when the retro. kit will be released. I guess all my *****ing finally paid off. #ad

Does anyone know if Magna Mirror has any future plans to manufacture the current factory TT mirror with heat and electronic controls?

I have installed the factory tow mirrors
on my 1995 club cab.
The instalation went quickly and they work
great.
