Off Roading 44's and Gears????????

Competition fuel cell

Well today we got my 1998 Cummins running after a long 4 months and broke it in on the dyno! We made 701. 1 HP and 1421. 0 ft-lbs after SAE correction. The uncorrected horsepower was 710. This is w/ a stock 215 12mm fuel pump and a set of twins running a STOCK HX-40/18 and HT3B/36. The runs were made on David Dunbar's dynojet 248. Most of the credit is due to Jeff Garmon's pump tuning on the dyno. The guy knows his stuff!!

Drag, each small hash mark on the left side is 50ft-lbs. The graph flat lines at 1200ft-lbs.

I believe Dynojet will still upgrade the software for free, for it to read up to 1500+ft-lbs. Ours goes to 2000ft-lbs.

Rick deserves a lot of credit. He actually built this motor in Jeff's shop. He wrenched every bolt himself and installed the motor, only with Jeff there to guide as needed.

What impressed me with this setup is how nice the curve looks. This is #2 only and as you can see it has no lag, is responsive and when we nail it on the dyno, EVERYONE in the area knew it. It was like a shop day around here yesterday during the tuning. There had to be 15 people standing around watching. The runs lasted about 3. 5 seconds. He is still making over 500hp at 3500 RPM.

I know some of you are used to 700+HP runs, but these were my first and all I can say, this is A LOT of power. Rick proved it by doing effortless 4 wheel drive burnouts. :--)

So Rick now holds the overall record for my dyno. Awesome Job Rick!!

Is this the end of the dyno as we know it ;):))

It is actually 1200. 0, just hard to read on here. I sure wish Dyno Jet would allow us to graph the number. I can view the data on their RunViewer program and see the curve all the way to 1421.

Jim have you gotten yours back together yet?

Putting it together as we speak, I had every snafu known to man happen with this deal but thanks to Piers and Jason Burton it's going together... ... ... I'm re-writing the book on tight fit, there is room to put the B/B in there but with the reverse rotation it throws everything off on the exhaust, this pig is huge wait till you see the pics.
