Competition I've gotta stop doing this!!!

Competition 9 sec. diesel truck in drag racing.

Has anyone posted any pictures of Pies dyno days? I would like to see some of those pics... ... like the other Jim's 753hp run:D ... ... and maybe a video of the finally;)

Good job Jim!!

Way to go Jim!!

Outstanding!! Sure wish we would have a dry day at the strip in Muncie.

That was when you had "less" horsepower though. Sorry I missed the dyno event of the year at PDR.

I wish plane fare was less than 450 to Vancouver.

See ya'all next year.

Cousin Billy

Thanks Billy, good to hear from you! Wish you could have made it for the event... . it had Muncie beat for fun... . really, really good people in that camp!

Jim

Update, just got home from the Canada trip! I drove home with the exact same setup that I ran on the dyno with... ... . I didn't change one thing, and never got below 20 MPG, cruise EGT's now are below 600 on level (non- high altitude) ground and boost is about 5 psi, driveability is even better, the trip was 2440 miles up and 3250 coming back... . one fuel leak for the down time maintenance (30 Minutes) while on the road.

Just goes to show you can drive a bombed truck across the country.

Jim

P. S. is it time to go back!

No, it's time to come to the Texas Rally!!!

Should be there Sat. morning!

You should have kidnapped that little Canadian guy that takes all your money and brought him with ya.

Yea that would have been fun but he and Harry are going to Tulare, Bill and Shanti were coming but the shop schedule stopped that.

Jim

Hey, can I ride in the back seat again enjoying my beer with Andrew's girlfriend while he takes it for a spin?? Maybe this time we wont see a cop when we top the hill at I dont remember how fast it was!! hahahaha, looking forward to seeing ya Jim!!!!

-Chris-

Chris, be ready to do your timing and we have another truck to do, I'm going to teach you then you can teach me on the other one..... you guys need someone down there to do that stuff or go over to Chris Strickland.

The truck was doing great today after servicing the transmission, the test runs were a smoke show..... stopped traffic;)... ..... rude! I'm scared to look the EGT's while trying to drive.

Sick to think that it makes more in valet mode now than it did maxed out last year at the rally and the only thing I've changed with the Twins is the little housing... . is there room for a burnout show in the parking lot:p... Piers isn't there someone has to do it!

I really want to watch, been thinking about getting a 98 12v. A 98 so I could just switch trannies out easy-cheezy!!! :D

I will help find a space for the burnout to!!!

Andrew

If I go to that extreme it has to be on tape, there was no tape when I walked it for a block at 4 grand in front of Piers and Ponci.

We are going to have fun!

Jim

Looks like it's time to start stepping up to the plate, the air plate, I think I'm going to have to build a bigger set of Twins for next year so this set will be For Sale turn key shortly, going to dyno one more time with them on a local dynojet then test the new set as soon as I can to get some before and after R&D.

Jim
