yeah, I love how donM is over there talking about how well his edms are producing power in these trucks when I was exchanging PM's with him about buying a set, then as soon as he realized I was ready, he quit communicating. I am not knocking his product, I know they work. That's why I was interested. Just seems funny that as soon as he saw I was ready, he quit talking to me. Same thing with two of his vendors.

Is there anyone on the TDR that has tried a set of these magical injectors.

With all the Gen 3 people trying to break the 600 hp mark, it would seem that Don M would not be able to keep them in Stock????

I will take 2 sets if they ever come out.

When I called one of his vendors, he said that they have been waiting 2 weeks on 2 sets and they do not want to take another order until the supply is better...

And these are not on an exchange basis, this is a remove and return deal

tomeygun,

Are you saying that you get to keep your stock injectors? Or send them back once you have installed the EDM's? Did they give you any pricing and HP numbers?

From what I've seen Don post, due to the lack of availability of injector parts he will only install edm nozzles on injectors in good working order. In other words you have to pull yours and send them to him. Looks like down time is the only way you'll get a set if they ever actually become available. I do recall him saying that he may ok some of the vendors to do the install after they have been out awhile. Who knows for sure...

no, just as Gypsyman said, you will have to remove and ship to vendor, then he works his magic, and then ships them back... Yes, talk about down time, I have better buy a 12v to get me thru it :D :D

He told me 40hp, more with boxes on... and I think $1200

But the wait was a problem for me, So I will wait for after the holidays to explore this further

We have a full line of injectors available, for common rail, 12V, 24V, DMax, PSD, and everything else. Give us a call for more information, ask for Lenny. :D

We always test the injectors before any modification, since bodies have been known to crack. Last thing we want is a crankcase full of diesel fuel!

Idaho CTD The thread on the DTR concerning the 708hp run was with a 24v not a HPCR just to clarify things.

Sorry if that is the case. Are the showerheads your running Don's EDM's? What type of timing box do you have for that dyno number in your signature?

After reading the entire thread, I wouldn't give that pompous SOB a dime of my money.

i've got candy, it's the best candy in the world, nobody makes candy like me ... ... ... and you can't have none, you can't have none!!

That seems pretty Damn harsh to me, when these injectors are out these WILL be the injectors to have.

They may very well be. I'm not questioning the mans knowledge or abilities.

I'm just thinking that he should consider a PR person and stay off of the forums. He comes across very arrogant and condescending toward the people he expects to sign his paycheck.

Do you know for sure?

The way the post reads, I thought everyone was aware that we were talking about 3rd gen stuff... 708 did sound too high for a #2 only HPCR diesel

FLOOR IT,

What other mods do you have to make that much HP?

Digger,

Is that the old program or the new one and what were your settings to hit those numbers? We're set up about the same and your numbers are excellent!

Remains to be seen. Lot of talk right now, that's about it.

24v injectors are not rocket science, they are fairly forgiving of slop. Common Rail is a different story, not nearly as forgiving, harder to machine, harder to produce in quantity and do it consistently. Less forgiving of sloppy tolerances that are unnoticed in a 24v - this means it's some special skills you need to make a good set of matched CR nozzles. So in the end, we will see who has the "best" 3gen injectors.

It's all in the nozzles. DonM and the other aftermarket companies replace the stock nozzles with modified ones or new design nozzles. New nozzles are better because you're not getting someone else's hand-me-down problems, but then there's potential issues with solenoids and teeny passages and things inside the nozzle holders. Too bad Bosch won't make just the CR nozzles available, gotta buy the whole shootin match right now if you want new ones, unless you know someone who knows someone.

Maybe what we need is readily available nozzles without the spray holes drilled in them (blanks), then an EDM shop with the proper know-how can drill 'em any way you want them. Hmmm... .

This is what I keep getting hung up on. Don keeps saying that there are no parts available and ALSO says that modifying a stock nozzle is a hack job, so...

If there are no parts available how is he getting new blank tips? Are they aftermarket nozzles? I've asked this time and time again and I never have gotten an answer. As a matter of fact he stops responding as soon as I ask ANY technical questions.
