According to Bosch, the "form" tolerance for certain aspects of machining the CR nozzles is 2 microns, or half a ten-thousanth, or 4000 metal atoms. The play between the needle and nozzle body is less than 1 micron- it's hard to imagine how small that is. For comparison, the thickness of a human hair is 60 microns.
