I have 71k on my late '02 ETH my original lift pump still produces 15-16psi at idle and no less than 8psi at wide open throttle, is this a record or something

Aren't you afraid that when it finally goes, you won't have been properly trained in replacing it? I'll trade you three with the same combined mileage for your one. :D

I went 90K on my origional one. The only difference is mine was DEAD when I changed it. I have on idea how long itwas dead! I'm still on my origional VP at 105K now. Lucky?

I have you beat, I'm at 78k miles on the original, but I still carry a spare since this site has me throughly paranoid of its immanent demise. Still pegged at 16psi at idle, doesn't fall below 8psi at WOT. :D

My Dad has 165K on his original lift pump. I tell him he should replace it before he is stranded but he will probaly run it till it dies.

Well I have all of ya'll beat!! I have 450,000 miles on my origional lift pump... have no idea what the pressures are as I haven't installed a guage yet. I drive about 1500 to 2000 miles a week.

1998 2500 2wd SLT laramie quad cab... totally stock except for pilot bearing from quad 4X4, and several transmissions. Got 300+ thousand out of previous transmission

Just to make sure seeing how your truck is a 1998, but it is a 24v correct?

those early 24v's 98-99 really need careful attention, they must have finally got the pump updated good enough cause us 02 people don't seem to have near the problems, I have a gauge so if it goes I will know, I will prolly get a new truck in about 10mos anyways

Even though mine is an early '01, I'm installing the same exact part numbers that the '02's have. My new one however, spits out 16+ psi at idle which I have never seen before. Hopefully this is one of those magic ones.

Record?

:{ I think I've got the record for worst L. P. 18,000 miles/went with the original 53! Luckily warranty took care of it. They beat the heck out of the A/C condensor when they replaced the motor. ;)
