73 Blazer GVWR??

Anyone know what it is, or can direct me to a site that lists such things. I am striking out here. Guy I sold a trailer to says my trailer caused his driveshaft to go out on his Blazer wannabe tow vehicle, I say he didn't have any tongue weight on the thing,(let alone any sway control or weight distributing set up) seeing as how he had his late 60's GMC truck all the way too the back of the trailer and was driving in a mountainous area at 65 MPH. Comments please.

I don't see how a trailer could make a driveline go bad. The fact that the truck is 32 years old might have something to do with it. I doubt they are rated to tow very much. A "C" or "K" 5 Blazer is rated as a 1/4 ton vehicle even though the under pinnings are the same as a 1/2 ton pick-up. Towing puts alot of stress on things, maybe he doesn't realize this? Sounds like he wants you to pay for HIS problem. Tell him "you are your own warranty station"!

I believe the towing limit on my '78 Blazer was 6000 lbs. I was surprized! Not sure of the GVW

Yep, says he will see me in court!! BRING IT ON !!! I told him. Keep the comments coming please. Very little, if any tongue weight the way he had stuff set up, let alone no W/D equipment or sway control. Personally I think the U Joint let go first and scared the beejesus out of him.

I guess I don't understand how HIS loading of a trailer is your problem. If I hook a trailer up to my truck with a 1500 lb tounge weight on the stock receiver rated at 1000 pounds and break it, does that mean I can go after Dodge for damages?

Same here DB, or his maintenance is my responsibility Hopefully he's just another one of those people that like to talk smack every chance they get.

they have all te K5 specs on there. i know my 74 is 5500 towing limit, but not sure on GVWR or CGVWR.
