730 and a 731 allison

What is the difference between a 730 and a 731 Allison? I have looked on Allison's site and can only see a retarder option for the 731. Other than that they seem the same. The 3 in the middle determines speed right?

The difference is the V-731 is a WTEC transmission, full electronic and

the V-730 is hydraulic.
