I've got 45,000 on my stock Michelins and probably have 5-10,000 miles left. Rotate every 5-10,000. Discount Tire and Sam's Club both sell the A/S and M/S. They both run around 160 each, mounted and balanced. My tires have done great and worn very evenly. I think the kind of driving you do and how much your foot is in it make the biggest difference. The guys who go really long on their tires also seem to have pretty high mileage in short periods of time indicating a lot of highway use at constant pressures. I also would guess that the hotter climates such as Phoenix are a bit harder on tires.

I got the original LTX M/S 215/85's. Look good at 45,000--I believe they will go to 60,000 at least!! Want to replace with at least 235's R, J. B. ;)

The factory tires went 60K + miles for me. They werent to the wear bars, but it was going into winter, so I did them. I could have easily went another 5K miles on them. They were the LT245 75 16's, LTX M/S.

I replaced them with the 265's. They look much better in the fender well than the factory tire did. I have 20K miles on these, and theyre hardly worn at all. I suppose these will do 60K at least.

Scott, I cant get them locally either. Sears had to order them, it'll take a week or so. Price is about $225. 00 mounted and balanced.

Eric

PS Very seldom do I ever rotate tires.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You fellows are the one paying for them. But if you rotate them and check air pressure on a regular basis you will get higher mileage out of them.

Walmart can order them for you as well. My Wife works there so we get a discount which makes the Mich 265/75 load range E 147. 50 per tire before mounting and balancing and that's with the road hazard warranty. With the warranty they will balance and rotate for free. Be sure you get a chance to see who they have working in their shop though. I've seen some guys in walmart shops that I wouldn't let touch a bicycle. Sams can order them also. But my discount is at Wally World only. Oo.

A/S M/S

The rears I replaced were the LTX A/S.

Had to, and wanted to replace with the M/S. Don't think the A/S is available any longer.

I understand that the M/S's go much farther that the A/S's did.
