Competition Challange to race a 7.3PSD, will I win?

Competition 6.0 Pulls a wheelie?

Of course I'm selling pieces off, people are going nuts over junk. I have all the main caps and bearings left, most in normal shape, lots of different chunks of the block, and about debris from any part that is used on the motor. Engine pix are right here... ... ..... you have to wait till I edit the special stuff you can't see out. I will be back with basically the same setup but newer, and faster ( can explode at any time but at a record breaking time). If I can get it dialed in, 8000 rpm will be normal out of my motor. After watching the video 281 times, I think it came apart at about . 53 seconds. I was sure it was at . 83 seconds. 5200 to 7710 equals 2510 rpm too quick.

The switch I made was from 33 STS to 35" STS in the rear and 35" BFG All Terrains in the front. Just trying to get the best of both worlds. If I get my other truck done in time for this weekend, you will see it with the 35" STS's.

um... . yea normal for each of the single runs it will make between explosions. I think 8k is a bit unrealistic with the parts currently available, good luck with it either way.

More Phantom parts, lol.

Honestly fellas, 06 was going to be the big year for several high rpm engine programs, and I can say without a doubt, you can type FAIL across the paperwork on every one.

If you want big rpm, go build a Duramax. V-8s like rpm.

There are parts available now to get alot closer to that than you might think.

Please elaborate. I'm fully aware of what's currently available and I know of one truck that has been above 7 a few times due to various pump related issues. However that is pushing it as far as rod bolts are concerned. Also I'm aware that there is a big difference between slowly revving there and being spiked there without a load. There are motorcycle engines avail. that have a 16,000 rpm rev limiter (R6), sure the engine is balanced to say something like 18,000 or so, but will it live at 16 very long? no! Not to mention things like the alternator (if equipped) oil pump or injection pump. I never said it wasn't possible, I said it was unrealistic. Baby steps. I'd like my lawnmower to go 200mph , and it could if it was being towed by something going 200mph. :-laf

Gene,I wouldn't say this year was a failure at all, we learned a lot this year and next year is going to be even better. I hit my target rpm at the line, I made it do what I wanted but I had other issues to let me drop more that I wanted going down the track. When we made the changes we made, we were well aware of the consequences. JFaulk, I never said I was leaving the line at 8, running down the track at 8, or anything else at 8 except reaching for the kills, but if something would break 8 will not be a problem. I didn't mean normal as planning to leave there but not a level I am afraid of. I am not sure how much higher than that, but time will tell if driveline wont hold. Parts are currently available, pricy but available. To do what I want to do, they are well worth it.
