Starting this thread in hopes that other people with the 8.4AN can chime in with tips/tricks on how set up the various preferences.
With all of my software updates, I no longer have the ability to set the presets for heated seats or the air cooled seats. I can still use the seats, but the option to for them to come on by themselves on startup is gone.
Hoping someone with the air cooled seats can look at their 8.4 and post the steps to get to the screen.

I believe all this is under the Controls section and then go to Settings. Scroll up and down the system and through each of the systems to check off the different options.

Thats where they used to be. I could go to Controls, settings, and I believe the sub-menu is called driver comfort. When I go to that screen there used to be individual lines for having the heated steering wheel come on at startup, Drivers heated seat "low, high, off" Passenger heated seat "low, high, off". Drivers cooled seat"low, high, off" etc...
Now all I have on that menu is heated steering wheel on/off at startup.
I think the software is wrong for the truck or there is an option not being selected by the tech while hes updating the software.

I think you will find that as the weather either gets hot or cold they will work. The fall like temps we are experiencing right now keeps mine in the middle of the temperature range that triggers them to automatically come on. Last week when it was hot the cooling seats came on no problem. Could be a software glitch but I think you will see a change when the temps change.

at one time I thought the same thing. but the truck was sitting in the sun for several hours yesterday afternoon at the lake. I remote started it, air came on but seats didnt. Truck has black leather and it was definitely hot inside. Air was on AUTO and was running wide open to cool the truck down.
When I first bought the truck the sub-menu had lines for all of the different comforts and you could individually check each one. Now the only thing in that menu is the steering wheel.

DIFFERENT SETTING- but not to hijack...

OK, I got a '14 Durango 8.4AN. I think they all think the same regardless of carline. Has anyone figured out how the different radio presets are chosen? I've seen 3 different profiles, and we've tried different things. Seems to be no rhyme or reason?

When I first purchased it, the radio presets were already programmed and to be honest I havent tried to change them, but I will give it a try. Does your Durango have factory remote start and ventilated seats?
I have not, but Im thinking its getting Alzheimer Syndrome... Now it wont remember that I had the a/c set to AUTO and the SD card set to SHUFFLE.
Spent some time on the phone with RAM yesterday, caught a case # with corporate. Lady seemed to be genuinely concerned. We will see.

I haven't really used an sd card yet. Only heated seats 1and 2 row. Yes on remote start. The climate controls seem to keep. We're hooked on the free sat radio, so we have all presets used. Just find a station and touch/ hold. If you loose the stations you'll see.

When you program the radio, do you save it to the key fob?

Nothing posted in this thread for some time but looked like as good a place as any to ask.
Has anyone tried or figured a way to add to the "canned" text message responses? I refuse to pay UConnect for the VR feature but use a few of the built in responses when I need a fast reply to a text. (YES I do pull over before playing with the touch screen).
Seems like there should be a way.
