Hey guys I ordered a #10 plate from citydiesel.net and they sent me a #8 instead. I am wondering what a #8 will do in my truck as opposed to a #10. I plan on going to a #100 with the stocker but in the mean time will a #8 hurt anything or be less powerful than a # 10?

Do you think that it would be a crappy fuel curve for my engine? If so i could just grind it but i wanted to see what the #8 would do.

i would drop it in for a little bit. try it and send it back. save the stocker for the experimantal grinding. then again the stocker might be worth more.

Send it back for a #10, if you want it to fuel harder on the top go to a #6 and do the Gov arm adjustment to make it right!

I dynoed this combination in 1997. Not enugh mid range, too much fueling on the top end with stock turbo. Poor combination in the 215 hp pump. At the time of these tests, Mark and I began development of the 12 and 11 plates. I later developed the 10 for him to give even higher performance and mid range. If you will be running the stock turbo and clutch, don't go beyond the 11.

That was my 1st BOMB, #8 in a 215 pump. I got it by mistake ... I ordered the #12. I didn't even ck the # when I got it & put it in centered.

It felt like stock down low ... ditto exactly what Joe said. What a rush when you get past the low end ... WOW. Rear bumbers came up really fast. Kinda like that expansion chamber on a 2 stroke thing. That's the 1st time I felt that truck squat down & get down the road. :D

I kept it & ordered a #11 because I was still running the stock turbo. After I got the HX40, I put the #8 back in forward from stock. Thought I was going to break parts with all the torque.
