Is anyone running 22's or 22. 5's by using an 8 to 10 lug adapter plate on a SRW 3500? I was wondering about the availability and cost of this option for the adapters, wheels, and tires and if it was worth the expense in return for tire wear, ride quality ,etc. I have seen it in a couple magazines but haven't found many resources so far. Where is the best place to look for wheels and tires? Is this a better option than maybe 19. 5's? I know the aren't many resourses for them either, I know of Rickson's ,are there others?

I am not running any thing but my office is next to the rickson plant. I have some maybe helpful info. Your ? all depends on what you are going to use it for. I have a good relationship woth Dan and Heather at rickson so I will try not to biased against the 10 lug. But heres something to keep in mind. when I said it all depends on what your are going to do with it I mean are you going to use it to tow a trailer or load it to the max, or just show it off and grab the attention it deservers because either way it will look bad a**. If you are going to use it to tow adapters in my opinion are not the safest thing. When you have to many things bolted together on the four most important pieces of rubber from road to truck there is more room for error. I think that a lot of peaple get the miss conception that having tractor trailers tires and wheels that you can haul more. Wrong especialy when you bolt a 10 lug adapter block to the factory 8 lug hub then bolt a wheel and tire that weighs probably more than double of what the factory rim and tire weighs. On the other hand those 10 lug 22. 5 and 24. 5 look so bad you cant help but want them. As far as the ricksons you get the best of both worlds. Looks and functionality. If its looks your going for you can go with 19. 5's singles with like 265's of 285's that will look sweet and they are direct bolt no adapters and you get that big bad look of the 10 lugs. It will also be much more stable having that size tire on 19. 5's. So listnen like I said it all depends on what you are going to do with it if its looks without much functionality 10 lugs are great if its looks and fuctionality your after definatly go with with rickson. Either way man both great choices for looks. I appreciate you taking the time to read this long reply but hopefully I gave you some useful info. Here are the to best web sites for what you are looking for. Chromewheel.com Ricksontruck.com

hey rt im running the 22. 5 on my duelly they are nice looking and all but the set i have are hard to keep balanced all though that has a lot to do with the tire im running 275/70/22. 5 or 37inch tall but as far as haveing any problem with the adapter and wheel i dont think so as far i have not yet and i do a fair amont of towing 8 to 12000 pounds on a flat bed trailer so here a web site to look into www.dieselwheels.com so good luck heres one more www.cwdima.com

RT, thanks for the reply,, mostly I am looking for something maybe a little safer than stock tires for towing, my trailer is pretty heavy. I don't tow it too often right now but hopefully that will change soon. I want a setup for safety and longevity. I do like the looks of the larger wheels also.
