800 rpm idle

Got my truck back from the dealer w/ a new PCM and 2 new batteries. The truck is now idleing right at 800rpm. Dealer said this was fine. Called another dealer and he said it was fine.



It is annoying, what do you think?

I think there's a software flash for G56-equipped trucks that raises the idle. Something to do with protecting the DMF.

I meant what does jnelson want it at if he doesnt like it at 800.

that is exactly right. they raised the idle to help during take off so the dual mass flywheel doesnt have to work as hard.

It used to idle at 740+-. Just seemed a little high.
