Another in Anchorage

There is a 1985 Dodge 4x4 crewcab shortbed for sale in Anchorage. Did not stop to look at the sign to see $$$$$$.

It looks to bre in reasonably good condition.

Just posted FYI.

I am going to try and take a look at it. If it looks good. I will try and buy it. Probably will land up living in it, when wife finds out.

let me know if you are bidding on it on any other TDR Member, and I will stay out of the race. I can't stand to see that truck go cheap unless it is going to a TDR member or me !(hopefully for a Cummins upgrade;) ) its got 50K miles and rust free, and would be a GREAT truck for a Cummins.

Well I bid on it. $500 doesn't meet the reserve. Talked to a man there about it. He says its rough and needs paint and interior is pretty bad. I told him I was going to paint and drop a diesel in it. He said it would probably meet my needs then. I am going to try and see it this afternoon.

There is an older Crew Cab for sale in Arizona with a broken front axle. Looks in real rough shape, but closer to my home. I am currently bidding on it. Is there any difference in putting Cummins in it compared to the newer style?

Crew Cab

Bidding is up to $600. I went by to see it Friday. It's pretty rough.

The dash is torn up and it has alot of surface rust. It has been leaking in at the drivers front door. Floor has moss growing on it.

Don't know if it has rust in the floorboard. I couldn't get the floormat up. Body is straight, but probably will need a new bed. The inside is pretty beat up and has rust holes. The outside of the bed looks pretty good. It has a 360 with automagic trans. It will not start. People there said it would probably go for $1500.

What do you think? Is it worth that much?

In that Shape, no way, sounds like it is a little too rough. if it goes for less $700 it might be worth it. but what the heck I am cheap sob, so it might be worth more:rolleyes: . I always try to buy a donor truck for what I can sell the extra parts for.
