Well its finally in the shop , this week im going to be starting on it

jerking out the 360 and striping out all of the 2wd stuff of of the front ,

if any one needs any 1 ton 2wd stuff let me know . Here is the plan to

put a 94 gen 2 engine , nv4500 with 32 spline out put to a 32 spline 205 t-case and every thing else i have from a parts truck , although im going to need to track down some ac parts and a core support unless its easy enough

to convert the 85 core suport . If i can figure out how to post pics ill do it .

If there is any volunteers to come help , i wont turn you down :)

Wish me luck !!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have that much time on my hands to let stuff sit idle i need to get it done to get other stuff in the shop , like a 41 dodge a 70 plymouth duster and 2 race trucks

plus what ever else breaks along the way . then i need to figure out what to do with my 92 it rains inside of it , if i could find one cheap i think id find a phord and to a quick conversion if i had all the parts in hand before i start cutting . OOPs then i for got what the wife wants as soon as i can find it then decent set of fool proof mounts she wants a 4bt powerd durango or maybe a tahoe , ive heard the tahoe must be a 6bt to be done why is beyond me . So i need to work fast !!!!!!!!!! HELP !!!!!!!!!!! may be im nuts !!!!!!!!!!

Your nuts. That's why you're here. Therapy. 4bt in a tahoe would be nice. Or a Durango, either one. The '98-02 Durango 4wd have a better suspension and drivetrain, IMO. But the others have better seating room. I have no idea why you would have to use a 6bt in a tahoe. You must have a much larger shop than I do. I can't have that many projects at one time... ... in the shop, anyway. And watch the Ontario Crew Cab expert. He'll lead you astray, tell you that you need air ride, and watch you work, work, work, so he can stay ahead of you. If I lived closer I'd volunteer on weekends... ... . but I've got my own projects, too!! Tracking down a core support shouldn't be too hard. I'd do that so you don't have to hack on it as much, and all the bolt holes just line up. I bought a whole '92 tuck, so I have everything I need except driveshafts and time.

I dont have that much space in the shop , i wish i did , i need a building just too store extra parts , i got a feild to park rigs . I dont have the durango or tahoe . Id like to see some pics of them installed with out the oil pans being hacked up if any one have see any id like to see pics . Im working on getting the interior removed , my 8 year old sons job and im doing the front clip i just about got it ready to pull if i can find a way to pick it out maybe the cherry picker ???? I got a couple pics of the truck if i can learn how to post them i will !!!!!!!!!

Bschwarzli is re-doing the crew cab after I helped him put the transfer case in. He thinks I jinxed the truck as the transfer case had to come back out. (He decided to rebuild it instead and post the info of the process on TDR for everyone to read )

I keep foretting to try uploading the pics , But any how here is the process so far .

I got the interior completely removed and the dash out the window didnt shatter but a few shards did pop out . So now i got to toss the windsheild some place . I 'm releived and very much glad that i stumbled onto a Montana truck with no rust , its almost like new , the floor boards any how the interior was trashed but oh well that i got coverd .

Next on the adgenda is to get the front end off and remove the 360 that according to the casting dates is newer than the truck so its been rebuilt so when i get my Duster back i can install it !!!!!

I made my 8 year old work today we got the hood and nose off today , out comes the 360& 727 , ill take some more pics .

Just don't talk to that strange guy from Ontario about your crew. He'll lead you astray. :-laf Shad

Who's this guy? Do you know his name? I want to watch out for him! Sounds like a bad influence or maybe just mentally unstable. :D

Or better yet he will talk you into Redoing the Whole thing like he did 10 yr's ago LOL and still going

Man! That guy sounds like a loser! The type of person who is the kind to post on TDR on a Sunday night when he should be working on a crew cab. ;)

Dvolk I am just a few step's ahead of you my frontend should be under truck by next weekend along with motor n trans sitting in frame . Atleast that's the Plan . good looking truck you have there nice platform to start with .

Thanks im just trying to decide the easiest way to take the rivots out ?? drill or grinder

or break out the air hammer ???????????

Well me and the cherry picker and my 8 yearold boy got the front clip off

The truck today with luck the engine will be out this week .

Easy use a cut off wheel and put a X in the head of the rivet then a air chisel pop's em right off just did most of that step Wear Ear Muff's it's Loud
