I need a little input from some of the guys that have swapped a 47rh 4x4 in place of a 727 automatic trans.
I am rounding up my parts to swap a 90 CTD 2wd from a airforce tug into a 85 crewcab w350 4x4. I have a 1995 47rh diesel trans with a busted O/D housing, it is about 16" long, 727 adapter in the 85 is about a 11-12" long.
1: As long as it is a hydraulic gov o/d, will it matter if the o/d is from a jeep or D truck?
2: will the np205 bolt up and the o/d output seal work with the 205?
3: t-case shifter linkage issues?
I plan on using the 47rh o/d geartrain and diesel gov with the cores o/d housing and output shaft.
