I understand it is a DC fix to help solve brake pull issues. Never had any brake pull problems. I took mine out and can't tell the difference. My spacer still hangs on a nail in the barn. What for I don't know.
You know I thought the spacer was between the hub and the knuckle but after reading this I am wondering if it is between the wheel and the rotor?
If so mine either got lost or I never had one?
If it is between the hub and the knuckle then I have one on both sides! Oh well since going to the EGR brakes I don't have a pull problem so I am not going to take anything apart but I am curious...
The spacer I'm referring to is a "wheel spacer"... it is between the rotor and wheel. The other spacers are currently installed on my rig also... . just finishing up an entire front end rebuild.
I working on the EGR front brake set-up right now... ... the weekend will be for the EGR disc conversion. Hopefully it'll go smoothly (unlike much of the rest of my project).
My 1997 has the spacer. I have the oem alloys and get a rub on hard lock when turning left. I do not have the rub on hard lock when turning right. Maybe I should add one on the left side? They might be good for something.
