89 dodge van

I have a 89 dodge van 1/2 ton with 3. 9 v6 in it, has anyone heard of being able to put in a h/d transmission??? like ones for 1ton or 3/4 ton will it work better than light duty one,with that engine and drive tran with out over torquing the rear end. I left the little transmission in the road and tore it up BADDDD.

Ya otta be able to attach a 727 or 518 to it, since the 3. 9 is a 318/360 block minus two cyclinders. Worth a little investigating anyway. You then have a bullet proof transmission. I suggest a call to the Mopar guys in Indiana. Their phone number should be in their Mopar parts catalog. Very helpfull people.
