All i can say is that any time you move a wheel outboard farther than stock with different backspacing etc, you place added stress on the wheel bearings and related parts.
That said, it depends on the tire that you plan to run on the truck. Say the rim moves the tire 1 inch outboard farther than stock, however, you run a tire that is 1 inch wider than stock, then you only have and actual half inch of outboard movement due to the increase in tire width.
