I particulerly find this Quote amusing

To prove the value of their products, the truck is powered by a 200,000 mile 'wrecking yard' Cummins Turbo Diesel engine out of a '98 Dodge Dually with no modifications other than the Dr. Performance fuel injectors.

Who are the trying to Kid?

Thoughs?

I was going to call BS just because of the statement made about using only dr. p injectors, but if the truck weighs 2500lbs it would only have to make 500hp to do 9's. And I know as well as many others that the stock turbo will make 450hp with the right injection:D . But let's see them drive their truck to the track and home.

"So we decided to put a wrecking yard motor in a race truck with nothing other than our performance modules and fuel injectors just to show what they could do.

If it is the original turbo, that thing has to be CHOKED.

Last I heard it was using a HX40 and they were switching to a 35/40. I also believe it's a bottle baby... ... ... ..... mama :D

If it were a bottle baby then that would explain how he can get away with a single turbo. Doc used to run juice as well as propane on the old one ton racer. He went through a couple sets of pistons too!:D

How can it be a bottle baby or have a HX40 if the only mods are DR Ps world famous double throwdown injectors as stated?

... ... . the truck ran a best of 9. 92 seconds at 131 mph, making it the quickest automotive diesel powered truck in the world... ... .

yep the quickest one out there. I'm glad everybody gets their facts straight. The guys at cumminsracing.com have a 9. 301 1/4 mile.

ha well for full body truck the quickest is doug dorings 74 chevy with a 6v53 detroit 9. 30 something 145 mph or so his web site is www.teamdiesel.com..

the cummin rail is probably the fastest diesel rail out there

later deo

Plus, it's no more a truck then a 911 Porsche. It's more like a prostock car without a trunklid.

I have met Doc and I don't have much good to say. All you need to do is talk to anyone that has had any business dealings with him. I know a guy in the Houston area that worked for Doc and O boy, the stuff he could tell you! Same goes for half a dozen others I know that have had dealings with Doc. Doc doesn't do biz with Dave Smith motors any longer from what we hear. He burns his bridges you might say. Just say no to Doc "P"!

Cool looking truck... too bad it's not a full size - that would be sweet. Still a doorslammer though. 9. 90's ain't bad, but yeah, that guy with the short Blazer and a Detroit in it is quicker. The 9. 30 at cumminsracing.com is a rail though.

Gale Banks would be surprised to hear his world record holding 230mph+ CTD isn't the "fastest diesel in the world"

When Dr P had the record it was 168mph? Toast is the word. Guess he had to give it up and stick to shorter runs! Oo.

I'm pretty sure there's a-lot of guys on this forum who could beat that time with the low profile lightweight rig he's running. Porsche 911 equiped with a CTD is about right.

I like that kids sig on that site. "I WILL BE FASTEST BLAH BLAH. "

Dude, how about posting your sig, what you've DONE, not what you are going to do, lol.

Seen Dorings truck, not impressed, its dated.

Dl5treez,

Careful! The Dr. may be watching... ... ... .

I did notice, that the kid has already been talking to Hilljack Engineering, and is starting to get it to run. If he listens to them it will fly. ;)

Gene: When was the last time you saw Doug Dorings truck make a full... . or even 3/4 pass?

I've never seen a diesel rev-up that fast or come out of the hole as hard as that truck.....

Dated? Yeah - maybe a little bit..... but it's still very impressive.

Just because it doesn't pull a sled isn't a good reason to dislike it. :)

ya, i saw the truck and talked to him, this is what he said, . . 24V, p-pumped, 281cc!, (ya right) 23mm of rack travel, lol!, running 4700 rpm, lol! and no titanium valve train components, said hes the fastest around and his pulling truck is the strongest. Said that his drag druck is at 800 HP and the other truck is at 1,400HP, okay, lol. I got a good laugh, . . i did like the lenco transmission though, excellent idea for serious drag racing. He had a stock 40, no intercooler what so ever, solid block and no water. Oh well, to each his one.
