VERY cool website... . there's TONS of nice pics on that page!

Your fabrication skills are very impressive... . awesome work on the Jeep frame!

Keep us updated... .

Matt - 1/4 Fin and darn proud of it!

Thanks Dude!

Yeah I'll do that. Next few weeks will be just working with the runners of the head, so not much to update but when new things happen they will be on the page.

I try to give credit where credit is due... and I really had to commend you for taking on such a huge project with very nice results... .

Keep up the good work - and feel free to share your fabrication/welding secrets. :D

Love your website and nice projects!

Really love to see Toyta landcruisers on you site.

Good luck with the project, and nice fab, custom backup lites, I always wandered if those halogens would work used them all the time at work.

Try

Halogens

yeah, those halogen are really good, been using them now a few months on trails. they are still working after hard shocks caused by rocks. Toyota is quite popular brand here but somehow I'll been staying with the Jeep.

Anyways, time to go to the garage and continue work with the Cummins head... .....

after market pistons

Where you guys get the pistons for your hi-perf cummins engines?

I'll been mailing like "hell" all over the places asking of Mahle Part. No. 286011WR piston but no luck so far. . it's been used on CPL2175 which is a 215hp engine and it should have 14mm distance between top of the piston and first ring. the head type is -. 866in and comp. dist. 71. 43mm which is fine because I'll shave the block to get a fresh surface. my engine original CPL is 2174 equals to 180hp. I also mailed to Silvolite they are bringing a new piston to the markets after about 9 weeks part. no. 5058D. comp. dist. 71. 501mm which may be one to think about. Does anyone have a experience's of brans like Clevite,Federal Mogull,IPD,Silvolite. etc... good or bad and what kind of engine you've used them? stock or hi-perf?

All I can say is that Mahle is an OEM supplier for pistons... . VW, Cummins, etc. Sil-vo-lite, Clevite, Federal Mogul are not exactly the best parts you can buy. I'd put 'em in a non-turbo, non-race gasser... but nothing else.

That's my $0. 04 worth...

I find them at last

Thanks HoleshotHolset

I finally found a source of Mahle piston 286011WR and I'm going

to use them on my Cummins. I'll been mailing to many Mahle office in Europe but they do not find that piston on there part lists. Well anyways, I happen to mailed this dude http://www.frontiernet.net/~tmeyer/ he's really helpful guy and

I believe that I'm going to use his services in my future part needs

Keep us updated on that Mahle piston set... . I know a few people that would order a set if they work out okay for you.

Keep up the good work!

As usual..... SWEET work on the head!

You have adressed many of the concerns that I and many others have had regarding the horrible airflow inhibiting objects in the intake stream.

Hrmm... time for me to pickup a head, some carbide tips for the die grinder... and a new compressor... . Dad's is destined to die any day now.

Head work

After the engine is put together and installed in to the burp I'm going to get an other head and do more tricks for it than this one what is under work. The plan is similar to Banks 24v head what they used on the speed record truck... ... ...

Right now the crank is taken in to a shop for crack check and grind

I fully understand what you mean about the Bank's engine and your plans for the next head. We think very alike... . it must be the 5% Finnish blood in me. :D
