Competition Good Tire For Truck Pullin?

Competition Pulling for the first time, help!

Dunno how correct the dyno numbers are, but I have watched that truck pull, and it pulls hard! Many times I have seen that truck whoop up on 4X4's, big gassers, diesel, whatever. One guy told the first owner of that truck to "Paint it yellow and green and pull it with the TRACTORS where it belongs. " :-laf

It is a proven pulling truck. It is a handfull to get hooked to the track though. It needs a good slipper clutch and would be hard to beat. Oh yeah, did you read the p-pump conversion? Check my readers rigs and there should be a couple pics of it there pulling.

Oh yeah, the first owner/builder sold it to the current owner(ebayer), dunno why it's for sale again. The first owner/builder is a friend of mine for several years.

Put the weights on right, and get the tires to bite and you don't need all four. Ya just let the front ones hang Bill!! :D

Here's a couple of pics I have watching the truck work. This one is from last year at Oskaloosa Ia pull. Bryan was there spectating.

This one is from the year before last, not as much fuel. Check the no bed too. The competitors were getting upset by getting beat by a smoking Dodge, so they dropped the weight thinking he couldn't get the dodge light enough. So he put it on a diet and pulled. It used to be light enough to hook in the 5200# class.

The truck really shines on a nice tacky track. The dry, slick tracks are not as friendly for this truck, specially when he only works with 5200, 5800, 6200# classes.
