Goo afternoon all, I have been scouring the net and local junkyards for months now, with no luck, trying to find an OEM grille for my '93. I figured I'd check on here and see if anybody knows of one in good shape for sale for a reasonable price.

Yeah, that's what I've got on there now. The repops are a dime a dozen, but I want an OEM with the recessed "DODGE" lettering on it. Nobody currently has the license to make an authentic reproduction, so none of the chinky ones have the letters. I did find a NOS one on jimsautoparts.com, but it was $1,895. And somebody bought the last one, they're sold out now, unfortunately... not that I'd have paid that much for a damn grille! Fingers crossed that 1stgenindustries.com ramps up their offerings of officially licensed replacement parts. They've got a few things, but no grilles. And the owner isn't allowed to comment on what's in the pipeline, unfortunately:(

Working as quickly as I can to get tooling done.... it is a very expensive slow process however..... and yeah.....I am not allowed to speak on squat. :(

Hang in there.

In the meantime have you considered a used one in good uncracked shape?

Robert
(same Robert of 1st Gen Industries :D)

Yeah, I would be fine with a good used one. That's what I've been looking for, but no luck so far. Everything seems to be on facebook these days, and I just don't understand how people can keep anything straight the way that thing works. It's all one long continuous page with no order or organization. I don't like it. Way too difficult to find anything.

People tell me the things I'm missing on FB market place. This forum is as close to social media I'll ever get! No FB for me! When out and about, if I see a 1st Gen, I'll pass along info so that maybe you can get some parts. Getting close to that time of year when people start to sell things for Christmas! Kids, girlfriends and others need presents!

Sadly good grills are like unicorn horns any more, even at big swap meets like Carlisle they are hard to find or cost a arm and leg to get

To be honest, FB is the reason internet forums are almost gone...far more traffic on the FB groups than the forums these days.

There was a NOS offered on one of the groups last week for $1350...they are out there, but they are pricey. I'm glad I have the prior grill setup, easier to find.

Howdy guys long time since I have been on but wanted to jump on here . A buddy of mine to a reporter grill n dremilled the letters into the grill n it looks Great. I'm sure if you look at it really close you will tell but for what he started with it works great. Also I have found that if you put a screw on the other side of the latch that it stops them from cracking where they love to cracking at. That would get you by until Robert gets them Built.

If I can ever find one, I'll try that so it doesn't crack. I've found many of them on marketplace, but nobody wants to sell them it seems. I reply to their posts say I got cash in hand when can I come look at it, and nobody ever replies. I hate facebook lol. When I was looking to buy a truck the same thing happened. I must have messaged 30 people about trucks and nobody ever replied, which is how I ended up with a dodge instead of a squarebody lol. Nothing yet on Robert's site. Hopefully soon! The car companies should be required by law to release all of the tooling, blueprints, schematics, engineering documents etc... to the public domain as soon as they stop supporting a vehicle. Would make things so much easier!

Nothing on the site yet no. But I can tell you that mold is 21,000 lbs of P20 tool steel if you wanted some random facts….
