91 Intercooled injectors?

Im looking for some injectors for my dads 91 3/4 ton 4x4. It is the intercooled motor. I was looking on ebay and i can get a set of pods for $370 brand new. Does anyone one know or have any pw's or another place to get some for a better price or should i get them for him. He has 200k on it and says it just dont run like it use to so we are going to start with the injectors and go from there on the bone stock truck. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

When you say it doesn't run like it used to, does this mean the power has droped off? Have you ever done a good tune up on it?

Maybe the pump is getting weak. Injectors won't fix that.



PODs are nice if you can put up with the smoke. And if you're going to buy a set, do yourself a big favor and get them from Piers Diesel. Great warranty and good tech advice. You may save a buck or two from ebay but that will be moot if you have a problem.



Before you start throwing parts at it, do the basics. A valve adjust, filters, lift pump pressure check, timing check, pump check.



If this cures the loss of power,,then start bombing the ole girl. He will love it.

Well i agree with you there he does need to do a tune up on it. But he also knows that i recently replaced my injectors and i am very happy with my results. But as you said i think just getting a good tune up first wouldnt hurt. I think i will tell him to just go ahead and get a new lift pump and adjust the valves and change his fuel filter to start with and then we will go from there. I say to just go ahead and replace the l/p because it has 200k on it and it would just be a peace of mind and a good idea before we start bombing on it.
