Non-intercooled 91 just purchased w/150k on clock. Noticed a small fuel leak part way to the rear of the injection pump. Drip... ... drip at about that speed. Kingman az expect there is not a pump repair shop here, who can we trust and where are they. Phx. - Vegas or ? Are some of the leaks simple and fix hisself (brother in law is mech on gas units) ?

Pump Rebuild

Sorry for late reply. Had pump rebuilt by Baker Diesel in Ogden, Ut has a good rep and did a good job. Price with pump off the truck $350 can't complain with that. We shipped it to him since the local shops were more that double that price.

Part way to the rear? Leaking from the high pressure head. It be likely that all it needs is a complete seal kit (replace all the seals) and throw in new springs and a throttle shaft/mounting gasket, you just per4med a tune up to the tune of a hundred dollars. Some call that a rebuild but it's not rebuilt.

I would say the other couple of hundred is a fair and honset price to pay for labor.

A full-out r ebuild would be about 800. 00
