Need info on F-150 Supercrew.

Did You Know?

Is there anyone on here who knows a thing or two about a 911 or 911GT2?

Went looking at one this morning but don't know to much about them. .

HELP:{

What do you need to know? A friend of mine is obcessed with Porsche, namely the 944, as he'd like to get into autocross racing, but he does know quite a bit about the 911 series as well. All I myself can tell you is that the 911 is one HOT car :cool: :D

the guy told me he has had a lot of engine problems with it, and I'm not to familiar with the car except to see one pass me on the road. Should I stay away from ones with real problems and look else where or should I buy a book and brush up my skills on tinkering with that engine?

There are a few GT2's floatin' round westport (Near sam goody , and the Post office) A white one and a yellow one (Drool) I see them bot in either lot most of the time.

My Aunt had a 944 when I was younger, and it didn't take me long to figure out that when it ran, it RAN. Unfortunately, most of the car's life was spent under construction. Just my observation on the one Porsche I have had encounters with.

Well TMTT, After 10yrs of marriage I filed for divorce tuesday, and now it's time for me to have a toy to enjoy besides trucks.

Everyone is telling me to buy a 911 because it's a good way to get hide available cash before the $*it hits the fan when we have to liquidate our marital assets. My other option is to put my 44's back on my 3500 and run over his car a few times just like in the movie war of the roses. . :D Maybe then he'll know that when I caught him cheatin I told him I would get even. :D :mad: :mad:

My g/f's father, when he was an MP in Germany a number of years ago, had a higher-up that had a 944 motor strapped into a VW Beetle (a regular, everyday, beetle). I guess he loved to pick a fight with the Benzies and such, then blow them out of the water with his power :D Of course, he ended up using a telephone pole like a steak knife one night, thus sadly ending it all. :{

Hummer - why bother changing tires, use the brute force of the Hummer. I think that would be much more effective ;)

Not starting a fight here but I doubt it was a 944 engine in a beetle. The 944 has an inline 4 cylinder front mounted engine the beetle is a rear mounted pancake. Probably a 911 or something similar.

picking up the 3500 from the toy store tromorrow. So I need something to do with it. Put on my 44's and see how many times I can run over the soon to be ex husbands car sounds pretty fun for me.

Any good mudd trails around I feel like having some funnnn

Oo. :D

It may have been an engine from a 911 (I thought the 944 had a smaller engine, but whatever), but I do remember him saying that the back seat was removed and the engine sat in the car behind him more or less, including taking up the space where the stock beetle engine would be. I guess he essentially turned it into a mid-mount, like a Lambourghini ;) Anyway, doesn't matter, it was a bad-a$$ car and he died doing something he loved. That's all that matters.

Turbo tim

I saw, on Hawthorne Blvd, somewhere near Torrance, CA, back in '68 or '69, a Beetle with a Chevy 327 stuffed in the back.

Stranger things have been done.

Twin turbo 3. 6 liter

456 horsepower

457 lb-ft torque

0-62 MPH 4. 1 sec

Top speed 196 Mph

MSRP $181,700

About $60,000 more than the 911 turbo

That's $60,000 for 36 more horsepower

and 0. 1 seconds off the 0-62 time of a 911 turbo.

What year? I have owned 3 in the past and raced two of them

for a while, early ones though (69,72 models), Did the

motors and trans on the 72 my self, wonderfull

cars if you maintain them. Can take a serious floging

on the track and beg for more, they could wear me out

on the track. Do not ask about tires... ... . trash a set

in a weekend($700)

I would love to have a GT2, I can;t imagen what is wrong

with it unless someone missed treated it really badly. :confused: :

Excellance magazine is a great source for the Porsche.
