Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 913 CALIFORNIA PUMP,whats the difference?

I just bought a p7100 off ebay from california for my 95 motor i am building. I wanted to know what differences there were between the pumps. Heres the pump with pics of serial plate. Thanks to the vast TDR knowledge someone will know all the specs to this pump. I was just gonna do a 4000k gov ,LC dv,and custom 10 plate for a daily driver. Whats your experienced opinions only please. #ad

It should work fine, but you would be better off to send the pump to a shop and have it tweaked a bit. It is not that expensive and it makes a huge difference in performance. Leave the 181's in with a #100 plate. Ponci's Diesel did my pump a while back. It doesn't smoke at idle and has perfect low speed manners.

I don't think there was a 913 California model. I think the California 5 speeds got the 180(911) pumps.

There was a 215 hp version available for a very short time by the time My order was placed they had stopped production

I found a 913 and a 887 the other day, rescued then for distruction as the were outside. It helps alot when you know how to tear them down, inspect them and clean them out.

The 913 California model had different barrels and plungers than the non-egr 913's... ... ... . Andy

Sorry man i didnt know i was bidding against another TDR member! You like how i threw that bid in with 5 seconds till the end of auction. :-laf I have a 180 pump sitting here if ya want. I emailed the guy and he told me today its a 49 state truck,so no egr. Thanks guys for your info. I wish you lived closer Jim ,i would love to watch you do some pump tweeken. I find it such a fine line setting up the p7100s between smoke and power.

hahaha yeah nice snake! what was your max bid if you dont mind me askin? i was shooting for $720 but i was a few seconds too slow! what u asking for the 180 pump? i kinda would like to find another 215 but if the price is right you never know.

A 913 pump is a 913 pump there isn't a california version. If it came off a truck from California it doesn't matter.

I was gonna go to $1401. on it, i was kinda suprised to get it for that. As far as the 180 pump i have, i would let it go for core charge. Whatever that is.

no idea what core is on a pump, if you find out let me know
