Trying to locate a source that has the fault codes for a '92 auto 3/4 ton w/ intercooler. Hoping to find a site so I can download the information. Right now I'm showing 12-22-23-24. Won't shift into OD and speedo-tach are dead.

Thanks for any information forthcoming.

JC

I don't show a 12 in the service manual

22 = Coolant sensor voltage too low or high

23 = Charge air Temperature voltage high or low

24 = Throttle position sensor voltage high or low, I've had issues with my TPS over the years, take it off and try to blow it out, I think I sprayed it good with some WD40 also. The TPS acting up definately will not allow it to hit overdrive.

As for the speedo mine has been acting up for years

Good luck

Chris

Check the crank sensor and wires on the front of the head to the balancer. If that goes out OD and the tach don't work. The speedo may be a coincidence.

Chris: Thank you for your time and help I'll try your appoarch, also the wait to start light comes on when the truck shifts out of 4th back into 3rd. In the past this situation was a come and go occurence.

Check all your grounds, scrape them, an use dielectric grease when you anchor them back. There is one on the rad support, one on the firewal and one under the dash. Many weird things will ensue with one of them bad. Good luck. :)
