92 auto transmission swap

I have a 4x4 auto with a weak transmission, a neighbor has a cummins 2wd with a healthy transmission. Will they interchange without too much hassle or is the swap impossible. I know in manuals there is a big difference. Thanks for the help.

you will need the rear housing off of your trans . I am sure a transmission shop or someone that know's what there doing can swap everything for you

Yup, swap the OD unit and your in business. That is a bit tricky to get the clearances correct is the only thing to watch out for.



What years are are donor and patient?

The donor is a 93 and the patient is a 92. I drove the donor and it shifts real nice. Thanks for the info.
