new member and i love this place . my 1992 w-250 4x4's guages bounce and anti-lock lights come on and while driving also kills radio. this truck also has a belser 12 volt hydrualic hayloader and when i use it it does the same
Would suggest that you have a bad connection, most likely it is a bad ground. Check the chassis ground in the vicinity of the battery and the rad support on the passenger side.
You may also want to update the hay loader wiring, by grounding it direct to the battery. The high draw from this unit would probably have caused you ground problem if it is grounded to the chassis (body).
It's always better to run a seperate ground conductor for high amp loads like hydraulic pumps and winches, I also like to solder and heat shrink these sort of connections, after crimping on the terminals, to help prevent corrosion latter on.
Tim the crank down tire carrier is real handy, it actualy drops the spare out on the ground just behind the bumper, no need to go under the truck. The only problem is that it mounts in the same place as a receiver hitch. A local surplus store had some of them cheap about a year and a half ago, he dropped the price down below $20 and they all sold out. I ended up making my own receiver hitch to fit around the tire carrier, so the interference problem can be overcome if you manage to find one.
