Fuel Injector Question?

I'm working on a friends 93 and he is leaking diesel from the rear of the pump via a rubber snout tube. It's not gushing out but we wanted to get it stopped as it's messing with his new concrete driveway. I purchased a Bosch 121 kit for him and am searching for info on this fix. If any of you know how to install the right gasket to get this taken care of I would apprecitate the info.

Thanks,

Steve

That black rubber tube is simply a vent for the fuel air control. The injection pump is leaking fuel into this section of the pump via the fuel pin/O ring. The pump top must be removed and the O ring replaced. The pump top consisting of the pump top section. The entire top. The part of the pump the contains the throttle shaft and linkages to name a few.

This is going to take some work on your part. If you are not familiar with the inside of the pump and don't feel comfortable digging around inside, please don't take it apart.

Cummins nor Bosch offer a rebuild/repair manual. Go to the Cummins Forum and take a look at the first gen section pump rebuild sticky.

crap

I was hoping it would be as easy as taking the afc housing top off and popping in a gasket... . doesn't sound like it. I'll look around for someone who has done this in my area before we go. It runs right now and i'd have to loan him my truck if I screwed it up for him...

Thanks for the info and advice.
