I have 94 12 valve with a 5 speed my goal 350 horses to the ground.

I have pulled the plate out , what injectors and what other things do i need.

I also dont live to for from jeff prince so i could get parts from him. just looking

for advise.

From what I've read you probably do not want to pull the plate completely out of the AFC. Doing so can cause too much fuel and damaging EGT's. You have a lot of options, but here are a couple that should get you close:

#10 plate with wastegate control (About 35-40 lbs. )

or

Stock plate slid forward a bit and DDII injectors w/wastegate control (About 35-40 lbs. )

Either of these may produce dangerously high EGT's without airflow improvements like a bigger exhaust, bigger turbo, etc. You should install some gauges first if possible to monitor your engine's performance. Have fun, you should like the extra power. Oo.

On my 160hp pump'd '94:

370's, 215hp plate full forward = 295hp to the wheels

370's, no plate = 374hp to the wheels

Sure, it gets hot... but it isn't too bad. I wouldn't tow or haul with it setup like it is, though. Sooner or later, I gotta install my EDMs...

With out pump work ... . You cant run bigger Injectors on a 94-95 160 pump it will run like crap..... miss,,,flutter,,,,white smoke,... Its just down right nasty

This was with no fuel plate,,no aneriod,,ect.

there must be a secret formula to running bigger injectors on a 160 . . I know we didnt have it figgered out ... . maybe DV's are the key??

I went from stock to 370s and 191 DVs and a 0 plate. There's very little flutter, but it occasionally happens around 1k rpm. Other than that, hang on.

I run 370s on mine. The only pump work is the #5 plate, timing to 15. 5°, and turning in the high idle screw. It has a very slight flutter below 1600 RPM. Glassy smooth above that.

DV's are not the key.

I've tried the following DV's with 370 injectors on my 160hp pump:

131's

181's

022's

cut DV's

They all stumble and the stumble gets really bad with big DV's...

I've got a set of pretty big EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) injectors to try whenever I get a chance... it's worth a shot.

Matt

Thanks for that

My brother has had his share of stumble issues and is preparing to try Dv's

I told him I wasnt sure if DV would help of hurt

Thanks!!!!!

Glad I could help, DM.

Dad's '98 (180hp pump) never really had the infamous '370 stumble'... but it always had a problem after the 370's were installed where it would idle like a mud-drag rail with a HUGE cam when it was first started up in the morning and in gear.

Now with the 022 DV's - the lopey idle is much more pronounced. Dad likes it though. He also really likes his newly installed Snow water/meth injection setup... but that's a whole 'nother story.
