Calm down, dude. :rolleyes: I'd probaby be frustrated too, but we are trying to help you get this problem nailed in the bud. Pay attention and actually read what is said. Just slow down a little and learn.

I have BOMBed computer speakers. With the bass turned down and the treble turned up, it is starting to flutter. Not as bad as when you goose it, and it starts to pop though.



Mine isn't as bad when I goose it while reved like yours does, but it does do it some. Need to advance the timing. It will get rid of most, if not all of the white smoke. I get the white/gray smoke, too, under those conditions. Still need to time mine also.

Timing is in the works ..... going to be advanced 16*



Havent messed with the fuel lines YET.

I had a a bone stock 94 and if I pinned the throttle it would rev to about 2500 rpm then start to miss and white smoke really bad. The fix is to install gov spring kit and advance the injection timing to 15* or better. After that it ran really strong (for a 160 pump) to about 3200 rpm. If you are going to bomb it big time then get the 4000 rpm springs kit. Make sure you install 60 lb intake and exhaust springs at the same time.

Sounds like it has 1 or 2 dead holes from 1300 and down. Shakes the truck. Top end sounds like a very slight miss, causing a flutter sound. When he gooses it, it backfires.

Get back to basics

Get your pump back to a known baseline. Install a plate, Install an AFC housing with an aneroid set the timing.



What you probably have is governor spring bounce, like someone posted above, coupled with low timing causing the upper rpm white smoke. All aggravated by big injectors



Install a plate, any plate, install a functioning AFC housing. Set timing to 15-16*. Then start bombing the pump, governor springs, DV's and injectors.



Nothing is worse than trying to diagnose and fix an engine problem when there are so many variables that have been messed with. Unless of course you try to diagnose the problems via the internet from a video.



Read and take some of the advice from the previous posts. There is not one magic screw to turn to fix your issues.



BTW it is not uncommon to have a 1100-1400 rpm bounce with a 160 pump with big injectors, just a fact of life with a 160 pump.

Just called up Smokindiesel and ordered the 3000RPM springs How ever the price on there Website was a TYPO but he still sold them to me for that . ... ... . Im not sure what his real price is ... . They seem like good people .



Ended up bring $130 OTD with the Rushed Shipping ...

Hi Chad,

You have 2 problems. The first one is governor bounce. It looks like your

gov springs are adjusted too tight, I believe this because the way the tach

rises in your video, it seems to "run away" at about 1400 rpm's to 1700

rpm's all by itself. Do you see this as well? You should be able to move the

rpm's with throttle travel, if you get to a certian point and the engine

seems to rev upward, without you increasing throttle pressure, it means the

gov springs are too tight. This could also cause some of the higher rpm miss

you have, although I suspect that is due to timing. What are you running for

advance on this motor?

After Gaining Info from JR Atkins and John form DPS ... . They are 100% sure what the problem is !!!!!



THERE IS NONE !!!



Its just confused !!!



YOU CANNOT RUN 370 marine/375 Horse Injectors on an '94 or an '95



The pump cannot handle it

Reguardless of pop off or flow



The Bottom end Flutter is the pump trying to open the injectors



when RPMS are up the pump has the Butt to push the fuel ... . the cackel at the top end is the motor over running its timing . .



Fixes ... . Either replace Pump with a '96 pump ... or



Return to stock injectors !!!!



for the top end ... . advance timimg to 16* but with the timing advanced about 16* YOU CANNOT RUN WATER METH ... EVER!!



So thats the plan all... .



tomarrow me and partsman are putting stock injectors in ...



friday In goes the 3000 RPM GOV Springs ... DPS said I would need them anyway .

At this time next week ...



I should have a set of good 370 Injectors ... . Would have 2 sets but one set is being traded for some stockers



and An Hx35 - 21CM



If things go as planned .



Maybe EEP will refund our $$$ on the injectors ???? After all they should of known of these issues ..... its not just a little flutter it shakes the tool box in the bed and rattles your eye balls. its Almost undriveable

There are several members running 370 injectors in a 160 pump with success. A bone stock 160 pump is typically not a good candidate for a set of 370's.
 
Well we just changed the injectors from 370 marine to stockers ... thanks Tdr members Holysmokes and Partsman for your efforts ...



The Low end flutter has went away... . 2/3 of the way but its still there ... . hoping its gov spring bounce ... as for the top end it still cackels ..... pretty sure thats timing.....



Friday 3000 Rpm gov springs are going in as well as a stock fuel plate and the Secret PDR gov spring adjustment .



This weekend Timing is getting advance to 16*



We will see where were at from there ...

Installed 3000 PRM GOV spring (NOT A BAD JOB AT ALL) and it has no flutter smokes like hell and runs like a striped butt ape ... . fuel to 3300 RPM Plus
