Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 94,1ton,4WD,Brake ?

Replacing front Hubs & Brake Calipers + Pads on my truck. Does anyone know for sure if the Dust / Splash sheild goes on first or the Hub Spacer?? This is exactly why I bought a digital camera 2 years ago. Truck was in garage - camera was in house - too lazy to go get camera!!! Took truck apart 2 weeks ago - now I don't remember which is first... ... Thought sure I would remember but I don't.



Haynes manual & Dodge manual unclear!!! Any help appreciated.

Only one side of my truck had the hub spacer when I pulled things apart so I left the passenger side off too. I know it's there for a reason, but that reason hasn't made itself apparent yet. I think mine was on the knuckle side of the shield though judging by the rusted and discolored areas. Oh yeah, unless you are a bad man or have done this before, have someone else to hold the shield and install the bolts while you hold the hub up to the knuckle. Getting the shield and hub aligned with the knuckle is fairly difficult the first few times if you are alone.
