Anyone have guidance on replacement for the subject vintage seats? Either that or tips on repairing the latch on the worn hinges. I don't see many if any options that without significant frame and mounting fabrication.

15 years ago I did the frame modification to install BMW seats. I need to replace the now worn out BMW seats...

Removed the passenger seat today leaving the pedestals in place in order to pull back the upper and lower seat covers to better inspect the hinge points and the latch/locking mechanism. A small spring that apparently assists with the mechanism was retracted under the cover and attached to the latch handle through a small hole, however was stretched or fatigued at it's lower end and had detached from what appears to be the anchor point it had at once been attached. It is not clear whether this spring is the primary or only issue with the latch yet. There is some side to side lateral play and likely some wear that caused the problem, which was evident when I bought the truck in 2011. I keep putting off the repair. While doing this I plan to replace the bottom cushions and retrofit some lumbar support too. Possibly look into a future junkyard vintage correct power driver seat for the passenger side?

Note: I used awesome salvage yard passenger side bum (where your butt sits) for driver's side replacement. They will bolt right in but, cushions and cushion frames are canted differently. Meaning passenger seat bum will bolt on but when you plant your butt it will slant towards the door. Local hardware store had aluminum sleeves and longer bolts to sort of level it back out. Point being driver side passenger side are different, but similar. Now you should be able to adapt driver's side power base to passenger side with some crafting/modificate-ing.

A electric seat track base from a oem period (1996) passenger seat, if they existed, would be good. I do not know whether one from the drivers (LH) side would align or not. Included are photos of what I am contemplating.
