It seems that after 98, the part number on the quad cab short bed frame changed from 52020237ac to 52020237af. I wouldn't think much of this but several aftermarket suspension components give one part number for a 99-02 and a different one for 98 and older. My question is, what is different about the frame? It would be suspension related obviously, but does anyone know what it is? Are all the parts and holes in the same places? I really need some specific frame info here.

Isn't 99 model year when Dodge went to the AAM axles? If so, you would not have thinked the mounting points on the frame side would have changed. Just a thought.

AAM change was 2003. I recall some changes to the steering (Y-type instead of T-type) as well as something to do with the track bar diameter... ?

Not try to hyjack,

but does anyone know if the springs, and shocks are the same all the way through from 1994-2002? Was there any change in the model year 1998? (I'm talking about front springs and shocks only)

Thanks
